UGA Housing presents Lunch Love Community

Wednesday, April 6, 6 p.m.
Building 1516 Multipurpose Room, University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia

Lunch Love Community is a collection of short films that zooms in on intimate and revealing stories surrounding school lunch transformation and cooking-gardening education and zooms out to the broader social issues and consequences around these changes. The blend of children and youth, education and food ignites passions, creative energy and idealism: how humans teach children to eat and understand food is the embodiment of how people transmit values to the next generation.

Green on the Screen is a sustainability film series in April sponsored by University Housing and other campus partners that celebrates some of the best recent documentaries focused people trying to make a positive impact on the environment. The series consists of four films chosen for the diverse ways they address issues related to climate change and scarcity of resources.

Covering topics ranging from innovative school lunch programs to large-scale waste reduction efforts, these films document the challenges and triumphs of everyday people as they work towards a more sustainable future.
